LMFF 2012 - National Graduate Showcase Part 2

Here is Part 2 of my LMFF 2012 National Graduate Showcase Designer Profiles
At the end of this post there are links to the rest of the Designer Profiles.

Courtney White

'Utopian Regime'

Inspired by the Russian Revolution, Sydney's Courtney White focused on Knits and Leather for her Menswear A/W 2012 Collection. She used strong palette of Reds, Burgundy, Browns and Wine, making her collection looks bold and eye catching.

Ju Young Seo

'Blossoming'

RMIT Graduate Ju Young Se's Collection 'Blossoming' took imagery from flowers and created her own petals with thread and dyes. At first glance I thought the looks featured printed petals, but when you look closer she has actually layered fabric and thread to create each individual petal. Love love loved her Petal Technique and Orange Petal Jacket.

Laura HuiShan Li

'Wind Blown'

Laura HuiShan Li presents one of my favourite collections. Her 'Wind Blown' Collection features looks that are made with molded leather coupled with light sheer skirts. When walking into the showroom, it's hard not to be drawn towards her show stopping aesthetic. She used natural leather Creams, Browns and Whites. I love love love how she has manipulated the leather as if it's been through a wind tunnel.

Natalia Grzybowski

'Hybrid'

Natalia Grzybowski first began her collection with white pieces, and then she applied symmetrical floral prints, adding depth and colour. I love love love the prints, her Floral Pants and Shirt Dress look are amazing. I get an old school Josh Goot vibe, and for someone who isn't the biggest fan of florals. I'm now a fan.
