TSEN A/W 12 Collection Launch

On Thursday designer Adam Tsen launched his label TSEN's Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection.

Fashion Faces, Models and Bloggers came to the 'soon to be launched' Shu Restuarant on Johnston St, for a night of networking, food, wine and of course an exclusive sneak peak at the new TSEN CollectionTsen presented a clean and sleek A/W 2012 Collection. All of the black pieces would be great addition in anyone's wardrobe. Guests were able to purchase pieces on the night, from tops, shirts and this AMAZING black Cape (which I've allocated a space in my wardrobe already).

People wore custom and current TSEN pieces as well as Danica Erard headwear. Check out Adam's 'Adam Tsen' headpiece! Love love love! It was fun night with friends, I'm excited to see what's next for Adam and TSEN.

Style Diary - Leather Florals

Colourful Florals + Menswear
Not the easiest combination, though not impossible.

I thought it was about time I showed off one of my Mary Katrantzou for Topshop pieces. This silk sleeveless shirt can be worn two ways (either with a button front or back) making it a very versatile piece in my wardrobe. For this look I wore the shirt with a button back showing off the more colourful symmetrical floral design.

I've realised that I don't see many Guys in florals. Probably because the prints are normally really bright and colourful, but I'm in love love love this shirt and I wanted to see how I'd go with putting florals into my normally tonal and dark looks. To make my look I teamed the floral shirt with my black leather jacket, skinny leg jeans and tall combat boots. It's a good contrast. Bright Florals from both my Shirt and my Alexander McQueen clutch and the clean black pieces.

A floral biker kind of look?

[L-R/T-B] MARTANMain on iPad 3 + MARTAN @ The Wearer's Right + LMFF 2012 + Mini MINI Burgers

After a busy few weeks it's nice to slow down and have time to blog leisurely.

Attending LMFF 2012 was a fun experience, this was the first year MARTAN Main was accredited Media. I got to meet fellow bloggers, designers and media interests which was great to just chat about blogging, fashion and the like. I must say a definite highlight of the week was the Graduate Showcase and Runway, meeting and seeing all the new Australian design talent pumping fresh ideas and designs into the industry.

It has been pretty non-stop since. Going back to work full time, working hard for that money. Though I'm feeling a few new changes in the pipes, changes that I will share in due time. Being that person who likes to change and do everything I'm feeling brave enough for something new. I'm planning new things for the blog and maybe another MARTAN Store range. Fingers crossed.

I've done a bit of naughty online shopping, even though I really should be saving more for travel and moving out. I seem to be really expanding my shoe fetish, it's insane. I should really do a post on my vast Shoe Collection. It's pretty epic from Heels, Dress Shoes, Sandals, Oh My!. I feel like the Male Carrie Bradshaw in that sense. I'll be the 'guy who lives with his shoes'... hopefully by then I will have my Mr Big and my a really BIG wardrobe.. ah the dream...

Sometimes it takes someone or something to show you another angle or possibility that the sky is the limit. That what you want to do, or become is achievable and is supported. In your own little comfort zone it's hard to sometimes venture out into the fresh and new. That fear of failure and rejection can force us to keep in this safe zone. I have the ambition to try new things and try and cut out my own piece of the world.

Sequince Overload

I have this thing for Sequins, especially in big clusters. I find them uber fancy and glamourous.
I'm still in hot pursuit for a Sequin Blazer like ones found on the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 Collection.
So in preparation for my sequin overload I got my hands on a pair of these Dolce & Gabbana Patent Leather Shoes.

The patent leather derby style dress shoe has a large buckle instead of laces and silver sequin clusters, replacing the classic derby white. It's such a WOW. BAM. Look at me type of shoe.

I'm not going to lie.... I want more.

LMFF 2012 - National Graduate Showcase Runway

My final LMFF 2012 post was the National Graduate Showcase Runway presented by Sportsgirl.

It was great to finally see all of the 12 Collections on a Model on the Runway. The models had foil hairstyles, on the top of the fringe for men and at the back the ponytail for the girls.

Want to see showroom shots from each designer? Check out the links at the end of the post.
